I am writing for my mom who is 76 and had one knee replaced on Sept. 26, 2006. She is walking without a cane but she is not able to bend her leg fully. She still has quite a bit of swelling too. (The surgeon said she still has swelling because she had her vericose veins strpped 40 years ago and the lack of veins is slowing the reduction of the swelling.) She would like to know has anyone else experienced prolonged swelling and how long does full recovery take? Thanks.
