Week 5 and the sunshines again

Just completed week 5 and the world has suddenly become a place of: driving a car, going out to dinner, shopping, and enjoying life again. Prior to THR life wasn't a lot of fun and certainly very little pleasure. I now feel alive again...yes there is stiffness and some aches but in comparison nothing like prior to THR. Sleeping has improved but am limited to about an hour or so on the non-operated side. Gait is somewhat of a problem as I/we tend to favor the non-operated leg. Can't wait for another week to see what it brings. Have completed in-home therapy and am scheduled for a couple of visits at a local health complex to do some endurance work on legs and back.

Hi Tom,
Congratulations! I feel the same. I had THR 8 weeks ago and feel FABULOUS! I didn't realize how much pain I was tolerating until now! I feel hopeful about my life.
