Thumbs up I'm Back in Canada

Hey you guys!! Boy how I missed you all. I will never get caught up with all the threads. Sorry I have taken a week to get online, been busy unpacking etc, then just got back from cleaning and opening the trailer for the season. I went up north for 3 days, staying with a friend as well.

Anyway, have just downloaded the visit with Jo photos, I see Jo posted too, so they are similar but not quite the same. Jo how about one with your monkey round your knee?

Oh it was soooo good to finally meet our favourite person :-) It was great to be able to hug her for real and not just by virtual hugs. She is as lovely in person as on the forum.

Jo lives in a lovely village, it was a bit tricky finding her house, our Googled directions weren't quite correct, but Jo was able to direct us. It was great to see her house for real instead of only in pictures.

We had our good friends Michelle and Kim with us as we were all going to the Lake Dictrict in Cumbria for a couple of days, they live in the UK. I have known Michelle since I was three and we always have a lot of fun when we get together.

Jo directed us to a wonderful Golf Club where there was a carvery, the food was great!! Great choice Jo!! I felt as if Jo and I were old friends even though we have never met before. I wish we could have had more time together but we were on a very tight schedule seeing as many of our family and friends as possible. Going to the Lake District for 2 days was really our only vacation. Kevin drove us a total of 2,400 miles in total (I won't drive in UK, to fast and too many cars!!)

I couldn't believe how well Jo is getting around. You should have seen her jump in and out of the car, better than I can do it after 16 months!! Her ROM was better than mine by a long chalk!! Hope you are continuing to do as well Jo. I haven't read any reports since I returned.

When we were at the Lake District we went for a walk up the fells in a place called Watendlath. We walked about 4 and a half miles, up rocky paths, accross the fells and down steep inclines. My new knee felt so strong, I was really impressed with it. My cortisoned knee wasn't too bad but was a bit painful after half way. I think I will probably be getting my left knee done next year.

I will post some photos of the walk in the picture gallery thread soon so you can see the terrain.

Anyway, better get to bed soon, still very jet lagged. Love and ((((HUGS))))to you all, Sue xoxoxo

Sue, welcome back! And to think I was going to phone you last night on your cell phone! LOL!

It was so very, very terrific to meet you, Kevin, Michelle and Kim. I too, felt like we'd all known each other for ages! And how readily we were able to crack each other up with implied jokes! It was intruiging - even just a look and we'd get the joke! Haven't enjoyed myself so much in ages.

I would have done the photo with the monkey but it seems a bit ungracious on my wound since it has been kind enough to heal so quickly for me! LOL!

BTW - put your photos in here. No point in using the other thread anymore. Those restrictions are lifted!
