praying Mayo Clinic and New Infection Specialist

Hello everyone, Well the saga continues but hopefully in a better light. My doctor told me they can't help me here anymore because they feel like it is more than just MRSA and MS that is attacking my body but they can't figure out what. So he is sending me sending me to Mayo clinic. I have to decide if I want to go to Arizona, Minnesota or what. I am heading to Lubbock TX first though to see a new infection specialist as soon as he reviews my files and sets up an appointment. Meanwhile, my health continues to go downhill at a fast pace so I am at a loss and at the mercy of doctors once again.

Sonja, Mayo Clinic does wonderful work, so I think whichever location you choose will be fine. You need to keep the attention on your situation, so don't delay getting to one or the other. My heart is with you.....hugs too.....good luck!!! Please keep us up to date when you can post.

Sonja
I pray the Mayo clinic is the answer. One time i had to fly from Georgia to California for a diagnosis and it was wonderful . I was so relieved to see a doctor who knew what was going on. I still tell him he is the smartest man i know.
I just know they will help you figure this all out

Sonja,
I know that you must you have been put a float out on the ocean with no land in sight. But this is a good thing honest. Mayo clinic is wonderful I have been to the one in Minnesota it is wonderful!! But it is winter up here and not nice for a Texas's Lass. I think I would go for the warm place Arizona. Sonja they do not mess around they run the test and then watchout as they start putting it all together like a whirl wind. I can hardly wait to hear from you when you are there. It is going to be ok now. These Doctors will get to the bottom of what ever is going on!!! I am send my Angel of Hope to stay by your side.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches on the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And Hope never stops - at all

Talking Re: Mayo Clinic and New Infection Specialist

Well, Good news everyone! I am leaving for Scottsdale Arizona on Sunday and will be seen by a internal medicine doctor on Monday. My husband and I will be traveling there together. When I talked to admitting, they put me on the high priority list and so I was able to get in quickly. I will be there for at least a week according to the admitting person, and she said that several different doctors will be entering in on the case as time goes on. I am excited because I need answers so badly! The pain has become unbearable and it is spreading to all of my lymph nodes. Please keep me in your prayers and I will keep everyone posted.

Talking Re: Mayo Clinic and New Infection Specialist

Hello Everyone :O)! I have found the answers I am looking for finally! My lymph glands are enlarged from a residual illness but the great news is the infection is GONE! MRSA is no where to be found at the present time and so the Mayo clinic is suggesting that I press forward with the knee replacements I saw so many doctors and they all took such wonderful care of me. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for answers. My main doctor has quite a sense of humor about him which made me feel at ease from the start. Mayo clinic is like no other hospital I have ever been to and I am glad that I went. They have identifed the type of MRSA I have (when it rears its ugly head) as CA MRSA which is the more dangerous type to have. We are going to be taking extra precautions beyond what was orginally suggested to make sure that the surgies are successful. Thanks to all for you prayers! God is so wonderful!

Sonja

Sonja, I am so very happy for you!!! Have you considered having your surgery there at Mayo? Maybe that would be a good idea.
