Congratulations! Nov. 29th is my Anniversary for the 2nd hip. It is sad when we don't get to see our surgeon, but I think that is common, especially if you use the "in" surgeons. I only saw my OS at my 6 week check up....always the PA for other appointments. Love your shirt...
I disagree with anterior being better for active, fit people. This is not true. It depends on which method your surgeon performs and which one he thinks he is most comfortable with. I am very active and fit. I chose the surgeon not the method.
Trust your doctor. Both of mine were posterior...that is what my doctor prefers. Scars are only 3-4 inches long. You do have the precautions with posterior, but recovery went well with both. I love my OS and he is high demand in our area.
I had both hips replaced 15 months apart. My surgeon does not do them at the same time. I am 7 months from the 2nd replacement and I definitely have my life back. I am very active and have not had any problems. It is so wonderful to be pain free and back enjoying my life to the fullest!

You just put a big smile on my face! Welcome to the new you! Great, right! You have this @chuckster

Hi @chuckster . I am excited for you! I am so thankful everyday for my new hips! The OS told me before surgery that I should not compare the two. That was such great advise, they were different. The pain was different for both and recovery was different also. I found it to be much...
Hi @Bostonboy Checking to see how your recovery is going. Remember it does get better! Sometimes in the beginning it will feel as if it is going slow, but then progress begins.
Oh those restrictions!!! Try not to think too much about them, they will be released soon. My biggest problem was sleeping on my back. 2nd replacement, I knew I would get through it...but my hair would be so ratted in the morning...haha!
